There are two metal bronze hooks on either side of the bag & the detachable shoulder strap can be attached on either one depending on the style of the bag & the space desired. you also have a zipped compartment at the back. The shoulder strap is very strong & sturdy. Strap is fairly wide & sits very comfortably across the chest & shoulder. Length of strap is adjustable. This is my second bag made by Visconti, both are great. This bag is v good as it allow to adjust it, but could do with a few extra pockets.
