Product Review: A Mixed Bag
On the one hand I really liked this bag. It's stylish, comfortable, looks robust and claims to be waterproof (I can't vouch for the latter two as I sent it back). On the other hand the design doesn't really suit the bag's purpose. The big drawback for me was access to and organisation of the contents. Firstly, the flap is secured by a thick strip of Velcro which makes a loud tearing sound when opening (as Velcro tends to do). Secondly, having opened the flap, access to the bag contents is then through a zip on the inside of the bottom of the flap (on the reverse just above the clips). Whilst this makes the bag secure it also makes it like attempting to retrieve items from the bottom of a thick black bin bag with a narrow opening - it would be practically impossible to retrieve something from the bag without taking it off. If you don't want to get in the bag very often it's probably fine, although there are then probably far better bags for that, but for regular use when out and about,...
