Product Review: Nice bag, but has a big downside
This really is a very nice bag - well-made, very nice leather, etc.

The only problem with this product is the smell. I'd read reviews saying as much, and had even received some information from the supplier confirming that since the bag is made using real leather, then it will most likely smell for a bit.

I appreciate their efforts, and while they lead you to expect some level of pungency, nothing could prepare me for the wall of stench once I opened that box. I followed all the advice, wrapped it in newspaper, hung it outside for a day or two to try and air it out. Eventually, I thought I'd been patient enough, and thought it'd be ok to take it out. On the way into my office and on the way back, I practically cleared a tube carriage with this thing. In an enclosed space, it made my eyes water and I could actually taste the leather at the back of my throat. I'm assuming that the animal used to make this bag was slaughtered humanely using mustard gas or...
